We are delighted to announce that both Ashdown Phillips and our management team at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre have been shortlisted in the “Best Covid-19 Response – Commercial Property” category in Property Week’s 2021 Property Awards for their work throughout the pandemic.

Throughout the duration of the crisis, Ashdown Phillips worked hard to ensure that providing an excellent service to our clients and occupiers remained our top priority. We ensured that properties remained open and accessible for occupiers that needed to remain working on site, holding conversations with each occupier to best understand their plans and working closely with our service partners to ensure that a personalised strategy was implemented for each property. For our internal teams, we armed them with the knowledge, confidence and support to work through the difficulties of the pandemic, whether they remained working in their buildings or had to move to home working.

The team at Edmonton Green received their nomination for a Covid-19 response plan which put the local community at its heart. The team initiated a range of initiatives such as a launching a free community library, supporting The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal, sourcing food parcel and baby bank donations and supporting retailers with free advertising and marketing materials to help drive sales during store closures and restrictions. Thanks to their efforts, an incredible £7,000 was raised for charity between August 2020 and April 2021.

Edmonton Green’s Retail Manager Rebecca Bird said of the nomination; “We’re all really pleased that our hard work through a difficult time has been recognised. It’s been great to pull together as a team and help our community, just to be shortlisted is a real achievement.”

The winners will be announced at the Property Awards on the 12th of November.
