Sixty female students were invited to attend the annual ‘Women of the Future’ event at Wellington Place, Leeds, where they had the chance to meet inspirational women in business, including our very own Dora Zsiros, Venue Manager at events space The Terrace.

The students were encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and try something new, including a ‘speed networking with leaders’ session that gave the students the experience of a formal networking event and the chance to practice their professional introductions in a non-judgemental and safe environment.

Dora, who has previously volunteered with event organisers Ahead Partnership, said of the day “I could really relate to the students as it can be difficult and daunting sometimes, even now, to strike up the confidence to approach someone and start a conversation with them. I do remember that I also struggled with confidence in school and having that guidance or support sometimes is all you need. ”
