Ashdown Phillips colleagues receive Mental Health First Aider certification

Saturday 10th October is World Mental Health Day and as part of our sustainability and wellbeing pledge we are delighted to announce that Ashdown Phillips is taking part in the Mental Health First Aiders scheme.

Along with three members of the team who have received accreditation as Mental Health First Aiders, seven colleagues across the business will receive training as Mental Health Ambassadors.

Our Mental Health Ambassadors are there to listen and offer support in a non-judgemental and confidential capacity. Our ambassadors will be able to offer an alternative source of peer-to-peer support for anyone who might need it and signpost colleagues to alternative services should they need it.

Ambassador Tara Grant, based at The Terrace in Leeds says, ‘I’m really excited to be part of the mental health and wellbeing team as it is something that is so close to my heart. In these strange times, where we might not be feeling our usual selves, it’s really important to remain connected.’

As part of our commitment to supporting good mental health, from 2021 we will also be offering staff three wellbeing days alongside their current annual leave, as well as encouraging opportunities for people to connect with their local community and through charity and mentoring days

We are excited to be launching this programme and look forward to working with our teams to ensure we are doing all we can to support their health and wellbeing.
