Congratulations to Associate Director Gary Metcalf, who has been named as our August Dare Devil, his second win this year!

Gary was nominated for his exemplary response to an issue at The Bower, London, where on two occasions an occupier was left without water.

Gary took charge and escalated the issue to the senior management team of the contactor, after it became clear that the problem was being dealt with in a reactive manner, rather than permanent fix being put in place.

Gary stayed on top of the issue over the weekend and made sure that the occupiers were kept fully briefed, before finally assuring them that they could safely return to their offices for the new working week.

Joseph Baugh, Director, said of Gary; ‘I can only liken him to a dog with a bone. Gary remained professional and fair, but at all times assertive and made it clear to the contractor what a resolution for the problem would look like, including requesting that a full report of the issue and work undertaken should be sent to the building team.’

To close, Gary followed up with a comprehensive note to the occupiers, reassuring them that the issue was now resolved.
