For our industrial properties, we apply the same level of attention as we do for our office and retail portfolios. Industrial occupiers may well have different needs and expectations, but regular engagement is key and it is best to do this face to face whenever possible.
We believe in providing a dedicated Facilities Management resource to all multi-occupied estates, avoiding a common industry model of having the Surveyor trying to fulfil both roles. This means our occupiers have regular contact with their Surveyor along with their Facilities Manager who will visit at least once a month. We tend to find this yields positive results in the form of high standards of site operation and presentation coupled with excellent occupier relationships and a greater understanding on our part of their expectations and plans for the future.We seek to align our own activities with the asset management objectives of our clients. We love to be involved from the pre-acquisition stage, supporting with due diligence and considering strategies to add value, ranging from development and refurbishment through to the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
