Congratulations to 33 Charterhouse Street, London, which has been named this year’s Digital Construction SECBE award winner.
The Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards recognise and celebrate the very best companies, collaborations and projects in the property sector from across the London and South East region
The aspiration for 33 Charterhouse Street was for it to be the smartest commercial office building in London by combining the digital design with the real-world asset to produce a digital twin (which is a virtual representation that serves as the real-time digital counterpart of a physical object or process). Thanks to its advanced technology, the building will achieve the BREEAM Outstanding rating, where the digital twin will be integral to controlling energy and monitor user behaviour to achieve high environmental performance.
The digital build was a collaboration between Helical, WSP, Mace and SmartSpaces, with help from the Ashdown Phillips team.
