Accounts
Our Accounts team requires specialist skills, and acute attention to detail regardless of whether they do Client Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury or Credit Control. All have an exceptional ability in building client relationships. We focus on providing a best in class service to our client.
Our Accounts team work closely with our Surveying and FM teams to build and manage incredibly complex service charge budgets. They often include direct charging, sub-metering, void units, Landlord void costs and so on. It is crucial that our team is expert and focused on the detail. They provide financial accuracy and timeliness whether collecting tenant payments, creating financial reports or managing internal controls they have the skills needed to successfully manage the portfolio. We ensure regulatory compliance with RICS.
Say ‘Credit Control’ to most people and an image of threatening non-payment procedures is conjured up. Not at Ashdown Phillips. Our team treats Credit Control as a service, building one-on-one relationships between our Accountants and Occupiers. This approach means we are first, not last, to find out when an occupier might be struggling, so we can work with them to understand the problem and present a joint solution to our Clients.Aaron Jervis

I was drawn to Ashdown Phillips by the lovely family feel, amazing people and the flexible work/life balance that fits around my family. Everybody is brilliant at their jobs, and there's always somebody to willing to help if you need it.
When I am not working, I am busy taking care of my daughters and running them around to all their various activities. Family time is so important to me, and also spending time with my friends. I especially like visiting the coast, there's something so wonderful about the sea. If it's a beach in a tropical climate with white powdery sands then all the better.
Anything from my younger clubbing days can get me on the dance floor but grown up me would say Hips don’t lie by Shakira. The scariest thing I’ve ever done is bungee jump – young and fearless – or so I thought!

I think that this is what helps us stand out and enables us to offer a great service - everyone pulls together to ensure that our customers are happy and you never feel like you are on your own if you have a problem.
In my free time I enjoy spending my time with my friends and family (and running around after my 4 year old!). We have recently moved to the south coast and enjoy spending as much time as we can at the beach or finding a new coffee shop to visit – I love coffee!

The scariest thing I’ve ever done is sky diving in South Africa. I did it because I love new experiences. Lisa Penrose-Anderson
Accounts Assistant
I was drawn to Ashdown Phillips by the lovely family feel, amazing people and the flexible work/life balance that fits around my lifestyle and needs. The scariest thing I’ve ever done was moving to the UK alone. I was an unhappy introvert, I needed to get out of my comfort zone, and I have never looked back. I already have a pet snake, so my exotic pet of choice would have to be either a Chameleon or a Macaw. Outside of work, I love reading, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time with my son. If I could be invisible for a day, I’d see what he gets up to at school because he always says “I can’t remember”!
