Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors are leaders, guiding the team and setting the direction of the business. They consistently work without labels and across functions, blending their skills to provide the best service possible.
They are also all practitioners; they come from a ‘doing’ world. This is unusual and it is a great thing; it means they understand their teams and the work they do. They share their expertise and are not afraid to push their team to get the best out of them.
Andrew Wraight
Managing Director
I was appointed as a Board Director in 2014 and headed up the Facilities Management team until May 2018 when I was promoted to Managing Director.
Our business is an inspiration to me. It is a brilliant example of something created from a desire to deliver a great service, which has grown successfully through a strong reputation. I believe first class service comes from knowing your properties and occupiers intimately, working collaboratively and being a trusted advisor.
I make full use of time off; and find long weekends in Snowdonia and Scotland are just as enjoyable as holidays abroad.
Anthony Springle
Director - Surveying
Since May 2017, I have been a Director based at the Carnaby Street Office, London. Before being promoted, I was an Associate Director for almost four years.
I have experience in managing complex and problematic sites and resolving issues by working as a team to do a brilliant job. I am happiest at work when I am working together with my colleagues or when a difficult issue is resolved. I love that we all enjoy our jobs; a happy team will go the extra mile.
It is important to spend as much time as I can with my young family as they grow up very fast; we enjoy going on camping trips. I play golf and cycle when I can.

I love working here because we work hard but have fun too. Getting together for our summer BBQ and at our Christmas party makes a close-knit team; I always know they will be there to help me.
Joseph Baugh

I joined Ashdown Phillips in 2013 as a Senior Surveyor before being promoted to Associate Director then Senior Associate Director in 2018 and Director in 2019.
I love my colleagues and the culture of the company and I believe that to be brilliant we should be collaborative, transparent and work towards a common goal. We are very much a team and knowing that you have such strong teammates gives you a feeling that together you can tackle anything.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and running around after my toddler son! I enjoy watching and playing football and have recently taking up Yoga to combat the ageing process!

I am one of the Founding Directors and Company Secretary, based at Pippingford. I act as a link between all teams within the business, coordinate and encourage robust application of policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with best practice.
I’m inspired when I see the shared values amongst the Directors. I am motivated by our ability to support each team member, and by seeing them happy.
I am active outside work, making time for hobbies such as skiing, cycling, sailing and mountain walking. The mountains and the sea re-balance energy levels from the pressures of work.
Paul Robins
Director & Head of Facilities Management
I became a Director in May 2019 having previously been a Senior Associate Director, Associate Director and Facilities Manager in my six years with the company.
I love being part of the Ashdown Phillips family and find the teamwork, passion and can-do attitude of my colleagues truly inspirational. It’s a joy to go into work every day; our collective knowledge and expertise makes the properties we manage brilliant places to own, occupy, visit and be involved with.
Getting the right work life balance is also very important. It helps us to stay healthy and maintain a sensible perspective so that we can enjoy everything to the full. For me that means spending quality time with my family and friends as well as cycling, walking and watching Southampton FC

Greg McGonigal
Managing Director
I have been the Managing Director of an associated company since 2016. I’m normally based at our London office. My primary responsibility is to help increase and diversify our client base. Prior to joining Ashdown Phillips, I was an Equity Partner and Head of Management at Montagu Evans for 16 years.
The imbalance in my work-life experience in my previous role was at the forefront of my decision to move to Ashdown Phillips. Now I enjoy a different experience and emphasis.
At Ashdown Phillips, professionalism is paramount to everything we do; communication is crucial to effective management and we respect everyone’s contribution. I’m inspired by looking after our clients and building our relationships with them. Without clients, we have nothing.
