Huge congratulations to Maxine Hannan of Aston Services Group, who has been named our Supplier Dare Devil of the Year for 2020!

In January 2020, while on duty at Middleton Shopping Centre in Manchester, Maxine overheard a lady shouting for assistance and immediately rushed to help. She quickly realised that the woman’s two-year-old child was choking as a result of swallowing a 10 pence coin; she managed to dislodge it and then called an ambulance for further assistance.

Maxine was praised for her courage in administering first aid, liaising with the emergency services and providing reassurance for both the child and their mother, as well as her outstanding commitment to her role at Middleton.

Recognition also goes to our runners-up; Ercan Kacan, also of Aston Services Group, who helped to find a missing person while on duty at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, London and Damien Harvey, Dual Service Operative at Ladysmith Shopping Centre, Ashton-under-Lyne, whose efforts in co-ordinating donations to a local foodbank earned him the third place prize.
