Over £2000 raised for LandAid’s SleepOut appeal

For the second year running, colleagues across Ashdown Phillips accepted LandAid’s challenge to spend their night outside, sacrificing sleep, warmth, and home comforts to raise money and awareness for the charity which supports homeless young people.

On Thursday 10th March, they settled down for the night in car parks and loading bays, with just their sleeping bags and makeshift beds to protect them from the elements as they joined hundreds of other property professionals taking part in SleepOut events across the country.

Jess Ward, Centre Administrator at Market Gates Shopping Centre in Great Yarmouth, spent the night in the centre carpark with Deputy Centre Manager Dee Greenwood and said of their experience; ‘Me and Dee won’t be taking our beds for granted again! We were amazed by the noises around us and found ourselves questioning everything – was someone there, what’s that etc? It was an eye-opening and brilliant experience and something I think more people should do just once’.

As Foundation Partners of LandAid, we have committed to raising £10,000 for the charity by October 2022. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, helping us to raise a fantastic £2,310 towards our target. If you would like to donate to help LandAid with their important work, you can do so here.
