The International CSR Excellence Awards recognise “companies that have a heart” and the team at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, in North London, were awarded with two hearts at the ceremony held in May 2022.

The first of the award was a bronze in the “Community Commitment” category awarded for the centres “You Care, We Care, Edmonton Cares” initiative. This scheme is a unique charitable program of fundraising activities launched during the pandemic, with each project being planned and delivered at a local level in conjunction with a partner and driven by local needs and concerns.

The second award was in the “Charitable Giving” category, where they also received a bronze award for their support of The Salvation Army with the charity’s local Present Appeal – helping over 250 families in the first year, and 320 families in the second year.

Edmonton Green Shopping Centre competed against more than 500 other nominations in the International CSR Excellence Awards 2022, and they were presented with their trophies and certificates at a glittering presentation ceremony at the world-famous Waldorf, London. This double win was not the only recognition that Edmonton Green Shopping Centre received from the International CSR Excellence Awards. They also received the elite status of a “CSR World Leader” for CSR best practice. Having CSR World Leader status means their winning paper will be published in The CSR World Leaders Book (the leading international work of reference on social responsibility best practice), so that others around the world can follow their lead and learn from their achievement.
