Over £7,500 raised as Ashdown Phillips take on the South Downs Way challenge

After months of training and fundraising, we’re delighted to announce that our summer challenge for 2023 – taking on the South Downs Way walk - has raised an amazing £7,609.00 for our three chosen charities: Mind, Refuge and Cancer Research UK.

Our walkers trekked through seafronts, fields, forests, and finished with the challenging Seven Sisters cliffs to complete either a 10k, 21k, or 50k route. Despite the heat, blisters and wrong turns along the way, all the teams pulled together to help each other through the course and towards the finish line where their fellow walkers and the event support team were ready and waiting to cheer them on through their final steps.

Associate Director Emma Page-Moore, who helped with both the organisation of the event and led the 10k group said of the day, ‘We wanted to give everyone across the company the opportunity for a challenge, whether that be in the form of walking or helping with the organisation or logistics of the day. Despite some tough moments, it was all worth it to see the pride on people’s faces as they crossed the finish line and we’re all thrilled with the money raised for our charities.’

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the event and to all who kindly donated to sponsor our walkers, helping three fantastic charities to continue their important work.

Our donation page is still open, so if you’d like to donate to Mind, Refuge and Cancer Research UK click here.
