Three Green Apple Environment Awards for Ashdown Phillips

Three Ashdown Phillips managed properties have been recognised with an International Green Apple Environment Award for their outstanding environmental achievements. Selected from over 700 entries worldwide, they will be honoured at a prestigious ceremony in the House of Lords, London, on November 17th 2025. The award not only recognises their accomplishments but also positions them as a leader in sustainability. The International Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-profit group founded in 1994 to recognise, reward, and promote environmental excellence worldwide.

The Fairfax, Bristol, has been recognised for its innovative approach to water management. As part of a building wide refurbishment a new system was installed, reducing carbon emissions, fuel consumption and costs. It also provides a chemical free and an environmentally friendly way of cleaning and maintaining the hot and cold-water system, as well as being beneficial to the occupiers’ health as traces of Zinc remain in the water system.

One Bartholomew, London, has received their award for the revitalisation of the building’s rooftop area into a thriving allotment. As well as increasing biodiversity with the introduction of pollinator-friendly plants, the allotment has also produced 50 bags of organic vegetables and herbs which have been donated to a local community kitchen.

Over at The Loom, London, the building was awarded for their work with service partners JPC by Samsic which sought to significantly reduce the site’s environmental footprint while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Additionally, the project aimed to educate and empower staff through comprehensive training and adopting a culture of environmental responsibility for the site.

Congratulations to the teams on their awards!
