Back to School treats for Middleton Shopping Centre competition winner

Five-year-old Josh Ryan was the proud winner of a free school uniform after being nominated by his mum Gillian Jackson for Middleton Shopping Centre’s Back to School competition.

“Josh has just finished reception with a fantastic report where he was described as ‘everyone’s best friend’. He is so kind and caring and looks after everyone before himself” said Gillian.

On Saturday, 29th August Gillian, Josh and brother Romeo and were greeted by Centre Manager Anna Ramsden and Marketing Co-ordinator Nicky Barrett where they started the day with a special breakfast in the Cup and Kitchen restaurant before embarking on their shopping trip. To ensure he was fully prepared for the new term, Josh was kitted out with a new uniform by Icon Clothes, shoes from Shoe Zone, a bag from Sports Direct and stationery from The Works. Finally, after a busy day shopping, they relaxed with pancakes and chocolate in Café Solento.

Manager Anna Ramsden said: “It was a really enjoyable day. On meeting Josh we knew we had made the right decision – he is a clearly deserving winner.”
